Pete Cunningham joined Canalys in May 2006. His responsibilities include leading
the research and analysis for the company's EMEA portfolio of mobility-focused advisory
services, as well as providing clients with confidential advice on bringing new
mobile devices and services to market, and how hardware and software vendors and
operators should engage with each other.
He has more than 10 years’ experience in the mobile industry, is a well-regarded
industry commentator, and is frequently quoted in the media. Prior to joining Canalys,
Pete was Head of Product Marketing for Panasonic Mobile with responsibility for
Panasonic's European Product roadmap. During this time Pete developed outstanding
relationships with the major network operators across Europe and established a strong
reputation for having an excellent understanding of European market requirements.
Pete brings to Canalys an invaluable understanding of how handset manufacturers
interface with European operators, as well as in-depth knowledge of emerging mobile
technologies.
